Mugwort is an insect repellent. Mugwort can be used as an herb in soups, stews, and stuffing. The young stems can be added to salads, and the leaves can be cooked as a vegetable*.
Mugwort has been used in traditional medicine for a variety of conditions, including stress, anxiety, and digestive issues*. It is also thought to boost energy, improve sleep, and normalize menstrual cycles*.
To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz. boiling water over 1 tsp. of herb. Cover and steep for 5-10 minutes, strain and serve immediately.
