Linden Flowers are carefully selected and harvested from the beautiful and aromatic linden tree, also known as the lime tree or basswood. 

From late spring to early summer linden bears an abundance of fragrant, tiny white-yellow flowers clustered in cymes (flower clusters with a central stem). These flowers are extremely delicate, so an elongated feathery bract forms at the base of the flower cluster to protect it and aid in seed dispersal. The bract is considered part of the flower structure and harvested at the same time as the flowers and buds. Linden flowers are small and yellowish, with a distinctive heart shape and are the most commonly used part of the tree.
