Catnip Herb
Botanical Name Nepeta cataria
Catnip is an aromatic herb native to Central Europe, though it can also now be found in most of Canada and the Northeast United States. It can be grown both indoors and outdoors. Catnip is beloved by house cats and gardeners around the world. It's also a popular tea and tea blend ingredient.
Also known as catmint, catnip is a botanical cousin to peppermint and spearmint. It's slightly sweet, minty profile is a nice indulgence in teas, fruit salads and Mediterranean dishes.
Because mice and many other pests strongly dislike the plant, dried catnip is a natural deterrent.
Directions:
To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz. boiling water over 1 tsp. of herb. Cover and steep 5-10 minutes, strain and serve immediately.Directions

Use to make tea, use it in homemade cat toys, and sprikle some on the floor for your cat to enjoy.
