Black Cohosh
Botanical Name: Cimicifuga racemosa
Black cohosh root, or cimicfuga racemosa, is a tall, handsome perennial herb, native to eastern North America, where it grows readily in a variety of woodland areas. However, it is not the upper herbaceous part of the plant that is used, but rather the dried black cohosh root.
